We have visited The Manor House a few times before, and always been pleased. Unfortunately this time we were disappointed in both the size and quality of the towels. Whilst we can understand market forces drive prices, again we were disappointed that the £8 menu has been discontinued.
Very polite and very helpful pleasant staff, every need was met by all staff. The spa was clean and very relaxing, the food was lovely and well presented, the spa treatments were very professionally done, the options were just right. Perfect day from start to finish and will be returning again in the near future
I took my 78 year old mother for a treat at her age she wanted to have a private area to dress and undress in the spa dressing room but there was no private area which was not good the spa is in serious need of an update the chairs were full of stains and mould also the jacuzzi tiles were black with mould
The treatment was mediocre
After the treatment we booked in to the hotel we were given a courtyard room the lobby looks like it’s never seen a hoover or a bucket of soapy water in a 100 years it was filthy the room we were given was up steep stairs but we managed we then open the door and all we could smell was stale smoke ( we are both non smokers ) the room was ancient the skirting boards walls and window were filthy rotten in fact when you sat on the bed you could not see out of the windows for the muck (if it wasn’t for the fact I’d had a couple of drinks with my lunch we would have went home ) we checked the bedding it was torn in places and a dirty shade of white but it was clean we went and told a member of staff when he asked if we were making a dinner reservation that we wouldn’t not be as we were worried about the cleanliness of the place and pointed out all our problems which he said yes we are in need of an update
Breakfast was included in our stay which we were not going to have but since it was included we went down to the dining area to check it out well this was a surprise there was plenty of choice and it looked quite clean so we chanced it and it was nice
But I’m sorry to say a massive disappointment for me and my mother I will not be going again
