I went with some friends and we had a fabulous time. the place was totally relaxed. i have marked a 3 star for cleanliness due to the fact that at the deep end of the pool on the pool side there was a dirty clump of hair just left there and was there all day. the 3 for the spa facilities is due to the fact that the steam room was out of order. so we did not get chance to use all off the facilities available.

Came on a tester day to scout out the venue for a wedding venue and hen do using a groupon voucher. The staff were lovely, slightly overworked tho.
Food was terrible, soup was so salty it couldn't be eaten, the portion of cod was smaller than my fist and served with half a handful of veg and zero carbs. Service was really really slow, no check back on the food, the poor lass was the only one working and trying to serve and seat people both inside and out in the courtyard.
The place photographs well but when you are actually there you see how run down it is, the roof over the pool has collapsed, the place smells really bad and the pool area hadn't been swept or cleaned in a long time. Changing rooms were disgusting. The courtyard needs a good sweep and weed too. Shame because it's a beautiful building, just needs a cash injection.
On a positive note tho, the girl who did the treatment had great customer skills and was very bubbly and kind.
The products used in the treatments didn't feel very luxurious and tbh I felt no different after.

I had a full body massage, and it was lovely. This would have been a five star review, except that the towels I was lying on felt slightly damp which was unpleasant to begin with. When I mentioned it to the staff member the only comment I got was "Oh, they shouldn't be", The massage itself was very good.

The hotel is lovely, there’s a relaxing ambience in the restaurant and the food was very good, and our dietary requirements were accommodated. SADLY I’ve been here 3 times and again the floors and pool area are DIRTY and GRUBBY, what makes it worse is that slippers aren’t provided as an optional purchase... take a hint that would be much more hygienic but this place defi needs a deep clean, and this isn’t just my opinion... other users were voicing their concerns at the time too much to the staffs embarrassment. I only return as part of a deal with my friends as it’s a convenient location, we just spend very little time in the spa area and take our own flip flops.
