Had a very enjoyable and relaxing day. We weren't aware we needed £10 cash for bathrobe deposit and the steam room was out of order. Felt very comfortable in treatment rooms. Staff very friendly.
One of the best massages I’ve had very relaxing excellent memeber f your team
Stressful not enough staff lunch was very late and awful poor waitress had a melt down staff at spa then cut our treatments short as we were late after waiting an hour for lunch!!! Towels in treatment room grubby and stained, wire sticking out of wall above hot tub !!!
Having been to many hotels I have never felt the need to leave a review as I am always satisfied so I have only made this account to leave a review of this so called “Hotel”. On first impression the spa entrance felt drab and unwelcoming, we were given towels and robes of which they had staining all over them and the eyelets for the belt were snapped and we were told to leave a £10 deposit for these I don’t know who would steal these ? The men’s changing area is like an old dreaded P.E changing room no privacy whatsoever and the whole room stank of pee. The whole cleanliness of the spa surroundings was very dirty, we could not bring ourselves to even use the facilities. We could not fault the treatments and staff who did our treatments were nice and friendly. When we had finished getting our treatments we decided we wanted to have a lounge however we could not do this as other clientele had reserved the beds and were no where to be seen! So we had to sit on chairs, as we were sat we heard loud shouting and people doing cannonballs in the pool, I took a look at this and it was around 5 young teenage boys clowning around!! How is this allowed isn’t this supposed to be a place of relaxation and not a council public swimming baths??? After this was occurring we decided that we could not stay in the spa area and felt forced out, we went down to the “eating area” I call it this as it did not feel like a resteraunt just a cold dark smelly eating area , we were welcomed by a girl who was wearing black trousers and top which were all stained with food ! What a good look. She needs some customer service training on how to come accross. We ordered drinks from the waitress and the teaspoon was filthy as was the sugar pot old crusty food around this. We ordered the vegetable soup which was bland followed by the frozen cod goujons and chips I nearly choked on a bone in a small goujon! And not forgetting the old brown salad on my wife’s plate what a joke we left the whole meal and weren’t even asked if anything was wrong she just took the plates and smiled ! How is this good customer service? We were in and out of there in around 20 minutes still hungry. Needless to say we got our things and left as quick as possible after this final shambolic experience. I hope that people revise the reviews like I didn’t and don’t waste their money on visiting this hotel hell. I can genuinely say that this is the worst place I have visited, we feel robbed and disappointed. I cannot believe this hotel is still trading. Also why 3 star food hygiene rating? if it’s as clean as you say it is on other review comments.
Had a wonderful day at the spa. I had two treatments which were lovely, very relaxing. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The only downside was the changing rooms could do with updating, but everything else was fabulous.
