Myself and a friend had a wonderful relaxing day at the Manor House. The reception staff were welcoming ,pleasant and helpful.
The treatments we received were great staff very skilled and pleasant.
We had a two course lunch which was really good. Also service was excellent.
The steam room was out of order. However we enjoyed the other facilities very much.
The areas for relaxation were great, just like being on holiday!
The decoration in some areas could do with some improvement which would enhance the ambience further.
However I have already looked at rebooking as soon as possible.

Staff are lovely, girls doing the treatments were nice, spa facilities are very tired and steam room out of order and jacuzzi only running half power due to fault, could do with an overhaul, wouldn’t book another spa day there.

The actual spa which is separate to the hotel where you go for treatments was fine and the staff were lovely and friendly. The treatments were fine for the price but it lacked a sense of refinement. Compared to other spas I would not particularly recommend the treatments. What let the experience totally down was the hotel itself. The hotel overall is shabby and dirty in places. Paint was peeling off in places, cigarette buts on the changing room floor, generally the floors looked they needed a good hoover. Within the pool area, this was ok but again left over plates and cups and litter on tables did not create a good impression. One of the robes we were given had a stain on it which when you pay a ten pound deposit you really don’t expect!
After our treatments we sat in the conservatory area of the pool but it felt cold and not very inviting.
Overall, a very disappointing experience which was booked as birthday present.
