Katarina is absolutely lovely and made the whole experience very relaxing. My shellac manicure and pedicure were perfect, but the colour selection is not huge.
Things I liked:
- Katarina - a really warm and lovely person.
- The foot massage
Things I didn't like:
- Lying on a bed, not sitting in a proper pedicure chair was just awkward.
- The room is cramped and hot.
- There were not a lot of colours to choose from.
- There was no way to dry your nails and no offer to sit there and wait until they were dry so I left with wet nails and tissue stuffed between them. Not the nicest way to walk down the street.
I texted her to say that one of the nails had been smudged, I was surprised that more weren't to be honest, and went back the next day for her to fix it. She kept saying over and over 'Well how did you do this then?' and I replied that had I not had left with wet nails or that she had a proper nail dryer, then I wouldn't have had to come back. She just laughed and repeated the question. She then kept saying that had I have gone for Shellac then they would have been dry, but that wasn't the point. You can't push someone to have a product they don't want, just because the service you provide with normal nail varnish is inadequate. I ended up going back to my usual nail spa where they repainted my nails and sat me under the dryer for 15 minutes, after which I left with dry nails and no tissue paper wedged in between my toes. It's not a very nice feeling to go for a beauty treatment but only to feel like you're half finished, I just felt pretty awful.
Like I said, as a person, Katarina really is lovely but the service provided really could be so much better.
