I booked the spa day as a treat for our daughters birthday. The staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. As it was our first time at The Bridge we had a tour by a member of staff. We felt fully relaxed and revitalised after our day and enjoyed our afternoon tea in the bar. Lovely lovely day and will definitely return!!!!
all together not bad for price, just little bit of up keep of the spa equipment would given more stars
Unbelievable value! Everything was rely top notch and I couldn't believe the value for money.

I went to the spa at The Bridge to celebrate a friend's 30th birthday. I have to say - I felt very let down by the whole experience. We booked to have just the spa session, which is 3 hours of going around the spa using their facilities & a glass of fizz. Looking at their website, they are proud of their £250k investment & I was very excited to see what was on offer, so we booked in for an afternoon slot 2-5pm. Upon arrival, we had a quick show around & then were left to enjoy the facilities. Unfortunately there aren't many facilities & we found that we struggled to fill the 3 hours. 1 x outdoor hot tub, 1 x outdoor sauna, 1 x outdoor cold plunge pool, 1 x steam room, 1 x sauna (indoor), 2 x Japanese foot spas, 1 x cold "drench" shower & a "snooze lounge" We started with the indoor facilities - the Japanese foot spas first. They looked nice, but only 1 of them worked. The pressure of the bubbles were very light & for me, it didn't relax in any way. We then moved onto the steam room (my favourite) it was large & lovely - the only thing we did enjoy. Had a cold shower after, which was refreshing. On to the indoor sauna next, I personally am not a huge fan - so didn't stay long. They have crushed ice to rub in your face afterwards. Different - but kept the hot/cold going. After that we decided to go outside - we went via the café to get our glasses of fizz (they were never offered, we had to ask for it) don't get excited though, clearly very cheap champut (I think it was a perry) they may as well have served Lambrini. A bottle of prosecco is inexpensive, that would have been much better. When outside, you're in a small walled area that has 2 tables with chairs, the hot tub & the plunge pool. We sat with our drinks outside - it was clear that the spa staff don't clean the area. There were multiple glasses left around the hot tub (which I assume were from the previous session) there also appeared to be a wasps nest close to the walk way - there were wasps everywhere. Doesn't add to the "relaxing" experience we were hoping for. The hot tub was ok - though again, the jets were poor. Very weak. There were also bugs in the hot tub (which you can appreciate as it's outside) but the volume shows that they don't regularly put the net through the hot tub, even though there is one outside. Had a dip in the plunge pool. Says on the wall between 6-12 degrees. The thermometer in it suggested 20 degrees. Still cool after going in the hot tub, but not exactly freezing. It was very shallow as well, so it was hard to get your shoulders under the water if you're tall! We then moved on to the outdoor sauna - as I mentioned before, I don't really like saunas, so unfair for me to comment. But the sauna had clearly not been cleaned in a long time. It was very dirty - which was off putting. We went on to the "snooze lounge" which had a few sun loungers & chairs in there so you can chill out. The room isn't sound proofed, so you do hear noises from the outside. We ended up doing a 2nd lap of the above, just to kill the time. My friend, who's birthday it was, had booked the spa day. So I phoned the hotel the day before going to request if they could organise a slice of cake/candle just as a gesture (I was happy to pay for it) as I was unable to get hold of anyone in the spa, I phoned the hotel reception. Receptionist said no problem & I therefore was expecting it. When I spoke to the receptionist at the spa, the message hadn't been received from the hotel reception. She also said it wasn't something that they really did & I should have brought my own cake. They could have sold me a slice of cake - but at this point, I didn't see the point. I also tried to get a couple of drinks half way through our experience - baring in mind, we're walking around in our swimwear/robe, we weren't carrying cash with us. They didn't offer a pay at the end of the session/setting up a tab option, as I could walk away without paying (even though you have to give your bank details when you fill in the registration form at the start of the session) Although I didn't have any treatments, they also required payment prior to the treatments before they would go ahead with them - first time I've come across this. Always paid at the end of the treatment? Makes you feel untrusted, again - really helps with the relaxing feeling. One final note - there were nails on the floor of the changing room (as in nails you would put in the wall to hang things up!) when I mentioned it to the receptionist, she said they don't clean the changing room. Health & safety?? I stopped 1 lady getting changed in there, imagine if she had stood in one!? Overall - I came away feeling very frustrated at the offering. I didn't feel like my friend had the relaxing experience she deserved on her birthday. I definitely would not recommend this spa. They need to up their game massively!
