I had a very good experience at The Beauty Lounge. My stylist was lovely, but spoke very little English, and so one of the other employees came over to translate and make sure she knew exactly what I wanted. After that, everything went very smoothly, and I was very happy with the result. So just a word of warning - for me, this was ideal, as I hate all the awkward small talk you get with some hairdressers, but if the chat is part of the service for you, this may not be what you're looking for.
