Highly recommended! I keep coming back because the massage is just perfect, and relaxing too. Plus you can choose the music you like in the background (ambient for me), which adds to the whole experience.

About

I first got interested in massage in 1999 when I undertook a Shiatsu massage practitioner’s course at the Ki Kai School of Shiatsu. At the time I was not yet ready to set up business as a massage practitioner, however I spent much of my spare time during the Noughties giving massages to friends and colleagues at London Cycling Campaign, Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO), (where I worked, latterly as a Research and Advocacy Adviser on Teachers and Health workers issues for 12 years) and at VSO Rwanda where I undertook and published some research into gender inequality in education. In 2011 I had the opportunity to visit Thailand and enrolled on the Thai Massage School of Chiang Mai‘s Comprehensive Thai Massage Diploma course. Later that year I decided to deepen my knowledge of Thai massage and enrolled at the Mudita School of Thai Massage in London, where I completed their Advanced Diploma Course. Since establishing Thai-vedic massage in 2013, I have trained in Ayurvedic massage therapies at Ayurveda Pura and Tri- Dosha in London; in Ayurvedic Yoga Massage and Ayurvedic Deep Tissue Massage at Rasovai in Goa, and in Ayurvedic Baby Massage and Chavitti Uzhichil at the School of Ayurveda and Panchakarma in Kerala In 2016 I continued my Thai massage journey by training in Thai Reflexology Foot Massage at the Thai Massage School Shivagakomarpaj & Old Medicine Hospital and in Dancing Thai Massage, with the inspiring and joyful teacher Kam Thye Chow (who sadly died in 2018) and in Advanced Stretches annd Techniques with the amazing Suriyan Punyafoo at the Sunshine School of Traditional Thai Massage, in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I added Hot Stone Massage and Balinese Bamboo Massage to my treatment menu after training at Bali International Spa Academy in 2017. In 2018 undertook an Ayurvedic Deep Tissue Massage Teacher Training course at Rasovai in Goa and later set up 4 training courses in Ayurvedic Deep Tissue massage, Thai Yoga massage, Abhyanga Deep Relaxation massage and Indian Head Massage which you can read all about at www.thai-vedicmassageschool.co.uk During the Pandemic I had to close the business for a total of 8 months, but took the opportunity to do some online training as a Qi Gong teacher, and when restrictions eased as a Forest Bathing Guide. Now, in the summer months, I host weekly Qi Gong classes and monthly Forest Bathing trips on Sundays. There is a Qi Gong & Forest Bathing Meet Up group you can join if you are interested. In 2022 I revisited Chiang Mai to do a course in Tibetan Singing Bowl Massage and Sound Therapy which I'm now offering as a stand alone treatment or as an add on to an Ayurvedic Deep Tissue or Abhyanga Deep Relaxation Massage. In 2023, I visited Morocco to learn Moroccan Rose Therapy Massage, Facial Massage with Rose Oil and Rose Quartz Crystals, as well as invigorating Moroccan Sports Massage with camphor oil. I also undertook a Thai Massage for Pregnant Women course in Austria. I have full public liability insurance from the Complementary Therapists Association (CThA). I’m also a member of the Thai Healing Alliance.

About

I've been a professional Massage Therapist since 2008. After years of training and work experience both in well known spas/wellness centres and as a private therapist, I‘ve learned to create my own massage techniques which I always personalise to each client's needs. I’m a passionate healer with an alternative approach, dedicated to helping my clients move through a wide range of physical, emotional, and spiritual transitions in the most efficient and transformative way possible. I work as an independent massage therapist in the privacy of my own home studio in Brixton and at Thai-vedic Massage in East Dulwich. Working for myself allows to work with a lower volume of clients that results in giving them a much better quality treatment that they would receive in a very busy beauty salon.
