I'm a real fan of massages especially when I'm feeling sluggish, tense or achey for me massages are my go to. However recently my massages have become uncomfortable and a little painful and far from relaxing, I think due to stress and build up of toxins.
So whilst online searching for some massage offer locally in Birmingham. I came across Lymphatic drainage roll shaper, I initially was dubious about the offer thinking this is to cheap for a treatment maybe it's a scam. I googled the concept and watched a few YouTube videos on the treatment. I was actually inspired by the before and after pics on the Studio Figura website, I saw Liene had a Facebook presence, it all seemed real. I booked for treatment and got a text from Liene confirming date and location, still I was paranoid so I told several of my friends where I was going and what time. Turns out it's all real and thankfully fretting for no reason! ( think I watch to many crime suspense series 😂) Actually I was weary as I recently booked a massage offer with lastminute.com, paid for the massage, turned up at the salon for a treatment to find not only was the closed that when I did get through to the lady I'd booked in with she was oblivious to the advert, it was a frustrating experience which left me on the phone chasing a refund and complaining to customer services. I liked I could pay Liene directly it's one of the options when you book with Treatwell.
Liene is delightful and is really passionate about getting results for her customers. She has several shape rollers in her studio sometimes customers group book and come together and its popular with young mothers shedding the baby weight.
Okay about the session - it's pretty much what you see in the you tube videos just I'm not as graceful moving from each position to the next. Each position is on a timer so it beeps when you have to move to the next step, it's pretty simple - Liene guides you through each step.
After the first session I had a little soreness, which passed by the following day. I did feel the moving rollers massaged my fat, the whole treatment from what I understand is about moving the lymphatic system from stagnation hence the painful spots of congested lymph to healthy flowing lymph and as a result weight loss. I also loved the minimal exertion aspect of this type of inch/weight loss. After this one session I slept more deeply and woke up feeling less sluggish.
I have been impressed by the treatment and booked in for 12 sessions -I will post feedback once I've completed them.
I don't normally write reviews but I felt compelled to reassure anyone looking to book and is feeling dubious like I was. I found Liene to be a none judgmental lady who didn't judge my body shape particularly as I felt so self conscious, who in fact worked with me to focus on areas of concern 😊

Very nice lady, clean and comfortable room, amazing value. More of a room than a salon but ideal for waxing.
