Natalie was really thorough, friendly and made me feel at ease. She was really great. The only issue I have is when the door slides open there’s a huge mirror opposite which reflects into the male hairdressers which is just outside the door. I didn’t have my modesty covered so it was a shock to see a man doing another man’s hair on the other side 🤣

A few concerning things: manicurist dipped my nails in a bowl of acetone for less then a minute to remove gel and then when the gel wouldn't just come off, tried to file it off with a rough nail file until I stopped her. I asked for proper removal (foils, heat, etc.) she said this wasn't possible. She filed my nails with a back and forth motion which is bad for them. She tried to apply new Shellac with pieces of the old gel still there, so couldn't get a good smooth base, lots of bubbling and I asked for her to redo several nails. Overall my nails looked great at the end but I had to watch really carefully and ask her to redo things or stop things that I know are bad for the nail, and I inspected carefully at each stage, so the whole thing took around 1.5 hours and was far from relaxing. I felt she was trying to rush and cut corners with bad technique. A bit concerning.

The nail technician was good however they didn’t have the first three colours i asked for and when I described that I was looking for a browny/nude, another technician kept insisting a pink colour was nude. Given our different skin colours, it was rather odd.
