I asked for a 2 inch cut reducing my layers. Was told there would be some face framing which I was OK with. I came out with over 4 inches cut and I had to genuinely tell him to stop cutting because he just kept removing length from the front and then matching at the back. He also kept changing the possition of the centre line. I genuinely hate my haircut now. He did what he wanted, not what I asked for at all.
