A lovely hotel in beautiful grounds lots of charm and character. we were given the romeo and Julie the suite. Amazing room lots of space. The food was mediocre unfortunately. We both had a treatment a back massage this is would definitely recommend. Staff were very professional and helpful.

Nice venue although there seemed to be lots of flies. The staff were generally lovely but the scalp massage was very disappointing.

On arrival there was a very nasty stench due to the farming nearby.(this apparently happens each year and causes many flies in the restaurant area) On entering the premises the young staff were attentive and took us through the pamper day treatment. They said they would show us around the faculties but didn't. We chose to have a meal in the bar, however tasty, I felt was not value for money and felt the quality of what was on the menu was poor considering the quality of the hotel and spa faculties.
It was absolutely dreadful try to eat and knocking files off your plate, face, and table. My husband complained about this and they said it was normal and that they were sorry and that this happens each year. I felt they could have at least put some immediate measure to take care of the flies.
My spa treatment was ace and I would go back again just for that at a cheaper rate.

We booked a Spa reviver one night stay. On arrival and after check in we wanted a drink from the bar. The bar attendant was immediately rude and ignorant which was off putting but overall the other staff were friendly and welcoming. The Spa facilities were particularly good with excellent choice of steam, sauna and jacuzzi. The all in 25 minute treatment (I had a facial) was okay. Our evening meal which was included in the total price wasn't of the best quality and standard in my opinion. Having said this I came away feeling refreshed and relaxed.

Lovely hotel in gorgeous grounds.
The staff were lovely and really made myself and my friend feel happy and relaxed.
The hotel room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable.
I also really enjoyed the food available at the hotel.
A really enjoyable stay overall. No complaints.

I really like the building. The staff were friendly. I didn't like the mixture of the gym members and the people there for a spa day, I feel the mixture takes away from the relaxation. As the venue had recently undergone a revamp there were some builders there completing snagging works. The builders were working around by the pool area, sauna and steam room. I didn't feel comfortable in my robe walking past builders, this meant I couldn't use the facilities properly. I would suggest works like this be completed when the building is closed, after hours or at least pre warn people so that the aren't intimidated by the builders

The Time for Indulgence spa day here was good overall. The treatments (back massage and facial) were very relaxing, and the beauty therapists were really pleasant and professional. On arrival, the reception staff seemed too busy to check us in and came across as a little abrupt. We were disappointed to find out that the steam rooms were not in use after we had been told that renovation works would have been finished by mid-December. The temperature of the pool was colder than we were told and a little bit too chilly. The lunch was good value for money unless you ordered a salad, which consisted of some leaves and a few tomatoes. The temperature by the pool side and in the dining area should have been warmer considering the time of year.

For the £62 each paid this was excellent value for money. The location, hotel and grounds were beautiful. Our room was spacious, clean and decorated to a high quality. It stated that "dinner" was included in the price. I was surprised to find it was actually a 3 course meal which was to a very high standard, tasty and beautifully presented. Breakfast the next morning had a wide selection and was also good. The treatment included in the price was brilliant.
The only down point was that the pool area is a little old and needs jazzing up a bit and the steam rooms did not work. However the sauna and jacuzzi worked fine and we were the only people using them making the experience more private and special.
For the price paid I think it was excellent value for money. But if you are paying direct through the website and it's going to cost £150-£200 each then maybe not such good value!
