The second spa that I have ever been to and I left feeling so mellow but energised. Although to some the facilities could be seen as basic I think it was all I needed without paying for a treatment. I visited on a Friday at 12:30 and found not many people there so it felt a bit more private. We made full use of the steam/ sauna and jacuzzi and then relaxed in the relaxation bed area which really made me and my sister focus on good energies as soft music played out. We enjoyed the heated seats, as well as the ice bucket shower and melody scented shower. The place was so clean and believe that I'm a bit OCD about hairs on the floor etc, and the staff were so helpful and had the most relaxing voices. Even when my locker key had gone missing, they calmly cooled me down and when it was nowhere to be seen they sorted out getting my belongings back to me. A quick retreat in the middle of a hustle and bustle town. Thanks
I bought this as a present for my aunt as she lives near the venue and did not know about it, she thought it was an amazing experience and would not hesitate to go back again :-)
I booked a spa-only session. I chose this place because I needed to do some hydrotherapy on my injured hip. The spa brochure states "Hydrotherapy Pool: Multiple jets working on different muscle groups to pummel away any stress or fatigue from the body." It was the word "pummel" that sold it to me. But to be honest, the jets were so feeble that I would have received more pummeling from someone blowing water through a straw. The other facilities were fine (sauna, steam room, etc.) but the one thing I wanted was simply not as described in their brochure, hence my low score. I would also add that my mood was not helped by a couple of other guests chatting in the relaxation area. I don't expect total silence, but one of them had rather a loud voice. Oh, and the hot water machine (for the free tea) is incredibly difficult to use; there are no instructions, and in any case the lighting is so low you can't actually see the controls. I wasn't the only one who struggled. So, I was a very disappointed customer.
Lovely massage, really relaxing, but I wasn't so keen on the lavender defuser being put under the head piece so wafting straight into my face. I'm an asthmatic so I did ask for this to be taken away. Much better without this.
In love with this place, never a disappointing and such good value for money. The therapists are always lovely and helpful. And the spa reception team are always extremely helpful and always prepared to go that extra mile. All staff are an absolute credit to the team.
