I had to wait for a few minutes, but the lost time was made up on the back end of the appointment. My therapist was amazing and the whole experience exceeded my expectations. I've already booked a return appointment.
It is a nice spa. I arrived with a few minutes spare, filled in a questionnaire and was then told to sit and wait for my therapist. When she finally appeared (at least 5 min past my appointed time), she told me I had to go and change in the shared changing room (the spa is inside a leisure centre) and that she would have to cut my treatment time short as we're starting late!!!!! Seriously? How was that my fault?! I was given a robe to get changed into but no slippers and then led through the spa area to a treatment room. I had to keep my swim wear on during exfoliation as no disposable panties were provided. It was probably one of the least enjoyed treatments I had recently due to the fact that after the body exfoliation you are rinsed while still lying on the heated table so you are "having a bath" in your own dirt and bits of dead skin. I really did not want to get my hair wet but there was no choice!!! I wish they warn you about this or at least provide some shower caps to protect the hair. You are then asked to wait outside in the communal area in your robe, while she cleans the treatment room (and are told NOT to use any of the spa facilities like the hot tub). The massage that followed was so vigorous (and I am used to regular deep tissue massages) that my quads were aching for days. A final "touch" is that you are then left to do your own moisturising with a choice of body lotions. On the plus side, there is a nice relaxation area where you could have a cup of tea afterwards but I had no time. All in all - I don't think I'll be rushing back to this place...
