The hotel is looking very tired and dated. In desperate need of tlc and renovation. Paintwork tatty, upholstery in the bar and restaurant all stained. Scaffolding ongoing which isn’t ideal. Understand the work needs to be done but should make guests aware beforehand as very noisy whilst sat in the garden. Things just seem halfhearted and sloppy. Used coffee cups on the patio all afternoon, chairs and tables outside strewn about and not tidily arranged. Staff are doing their best, polite helpful

The staff were attentive and accommodating. The food was very nice. The only bad point was the cleanliness of the rooms and corridors with thick dust on surfaces and room edges, where they hadn’t been touched for a long time.
