Staff was very nice and clean, I hate giving a bad review, but unfortunately the pedicure was not great. They didn't have dryer, despite staying there quite a long time after the treatment, the polish didn't dry - pedicure wasted. I was going on holiday next day so I couldn't go back and had it fixed. Not many colours to choose from either. Could be just my case, I wouldn't recommend unless you have a lot of time to stay there, or have flipflops on you
I thoroughly recommend this salon. I can't remember the name of the lovely lady that served me (I asked for her business card and I accidentally got a generic one without her name) but it began with R and I would really recommend going to her. She was really friendly and funny and knew a lot about haircare. Finally I have found a salon which actually listens to me! I usually feel scared to go to the hair dressers as they tend to cut off far more than you request but for the first time ever I've found an honest hairdresser who is pro-length and only took half an inch off my hair as requested. She did a beautiful job and thickened it up (it looks about twice the volume). Thank you to Chic for my gorgeous, healthy new hair.
The stylist was wicked...the only reason for my not giving it a five star is the full head of colour cost was unexpected and a bit much on my budget...That being said, I will pay it a million times over for her amazing colour and blow dry!
The treatment room in Chic Touch doesn't really have a 'chic touch' you go down a steep stairs to a tiny basement room that gets curtained off by a shower curtain hanging on loose rails. The trolleys with products on it don't look very organised and have cheap products on it, next to the better ones. In the room is also a tent for spray tanning - quite in your face with the gloves and spray gun just lying there. I came for a brow shaping and tinting, and the therapist did a marvelous job. I must say she made up for the unfortunate surroundings, and made me feel comfortable. During the treatment I asked to do my eyelashes as well and this was also very nicely done. My therapist was a nice chatty lady, and only chatted at the right time. The results were great and I would go back for the same. However I feel that the establishment doesn't live up to its name. Also I think that Swee, the lady who treated me is too nice and professional for this place and would be better of in a more refined place as chic touch is not that chic.
My therapist Swee was lovely and I would come back for her. But unfortunately it wasn't the best shellac manicure I've had. She spent great time on my nails an cuticles, and I didn't feel rushed during the treatment. But the surroundings for a manicure are not that relaxing or nice as it's a small table in the salon and there's the noise of blow drying non stop. The colour I picked was from CND, but the base and top coat used were not. There was no moisturizer applied until I asked for it, and I find this little moment of a bit of a hand massage the most relaxing of a manicure. When I asked for it it was done quickly. Again my therapist was very sweet but she applied extremely thin and dry layers of lack which resulted in an uneven finish. One day after my shellack application corners of my thumb, middle and ring finger on my right hand were already chipped and peeling, and I'm left handed, so it's not that these nails are exposed to much use. Normally my shellack stays on without chipping for at least ten days and if I wouldn't have been out of the city I would have come back to ask for a re-do. All in all, lovely therapist but She probably would be better off in another salon (with quality products and no noise around) and therefore I wouldn't go back here.
