This was really one of the worst salon experiences I’ve had in years.
1. The stylist didn't look at my hair before washing it. How can you get a decent idea of what the cut will look like or what the client wants if you don't even look at the hair when it's dry? There was no consultation despite it being my first time at the salon.
2. I have a very easy haircut: just below the jaw, blunt, no layers/texture, parted on the right. Why would you cut the hair with a middle part, even after your client warns you they part it on the right (if she had looked at my hair dry, she would or at least should have noticed). So now I have bits at the front that are shorter than the rest because my hair parts differently than she cut it.
3. She barely checked if the length was even on all sides.
4. Not a single product was used to either protect my hair from the heat or to finish off the cut.

Anna and Sarah were both lovely girls, both very welcoming and friendly. Anna did an amazing job on my balayage the blend is perfect! And we even shared an Xmas eve drink and listened to Christmas tunes! I’ll definitely be returning!!!

My second visit to Joelle Shades as the staff are always lovely and welcoming, they listen to what you want and I’m very happy with my cut. They also gave me a blow dry free of charge as it wasn’t included in my booking. The only downside is the salon is quite quiet, could do with playing some music!
