I am a regular at Selfish and this was the first disappointing experience. I booked to get mirror nails for £33. I got to the appointment and was told that mirror nails don't last more than 5 days. So I was offered to get Galaxy nails instead as they are the same price as mirror nails. I got them, I hated them and removed them right away. The manicure was well done by my girl Latoya, but I just hated the Galaxy stuff, it was not right for me.
What I am complaining about is not being told about the poor quality of mirror nails before my appointment, because I would have changed it. Also, I should have been either offered a refund or paid back the difference, because I would have just got a normal manicure instead. I wasted £33 on a manicure I kept a few hours.
Here is a tip: either remove Mirror nails from your menu or add a disclaimer saying they only last 5 days, so people that book it can make an informed decision.
Being told last minute that you're not gonna get what you booked, is not cool. And in this case the 'replacement option' was just not good.
I won't be visiting you for a while, need to recover from the loss of £33. Might be nothing for some, but it is a lot of money for me and supposed to be a fun treat!
