The best waxing I have ever had! The therapist was really friendly and very precise. The hot wax is perfect if your skin is sensitive, in fact after the treatment my skin looks great. Definitely I will come back!
I had eyebrow threading and tinting and it was quick, pain free and the result was exactly what I expected.
Basement level of a newsagents. Good place to go for a quick and efficient treatment, the price of the hot wax is especially good value.
It's hard to know where to begin with all the problems this place has. First of all things have improved but it's still nowhere near good enough. The place has been redecorated which is a vast improvement but it is completely disorganised, lacking customer service, basic hygiene. The booking system is much better than it was a year ago when you would make an appointment turn up and they claimed to know nothing about it (yes this happened to my 68 yr old mother) now they email you. The staff are at times friendly but often won't do basics like try to resolve problems - not sure about something? rather than use initiative let's just ask customer to sit and wait for 30 mins until Riddhi can come out. Waxing? Won't wash my hands before or afterwards, leave huge patches, don't pluck strays, leave wax on skin, don't wipe down equipment or bed between usage. Pretty sure it's one towel for every customer too. Never been to an appointment which started less than 30 mins behind. Now they're charging 50p to use a card. Imagine as I said, things have improved and that's why I kept going and the cheap prices. Also the former manicurist gave excellent mani/pedis. This could be a decent place but there is so much to improve on - improve timekeeping, hygiene processes, teach staff to be friendlier and more customer focussed rather than worrying about getting permission from Riddhi to take any decision or action. I'm afraid the end of the line for my custom has come and the cheap prices are not enough to reluctantly persuade me any more.
Went for the £20 offer on the brazilian hot wax (my very first brazilian wax) based on the good reviews. Good points: Friendly at reception, used a pre-wax cleanser. Bad points: In a basement, no fans or air con in the treatment room I was in. Felt very rushed, although I specified (on the registration form and in person) that it was my first waxing experience, the therapist (Savita I think, didn't introduce herself) was very impatient, brusque and told me off for crying out in pain. (I did expect it to hurt and took painkillers beforehand but I think maybe if she gave some warning or at least held the skin taut before pulling off the wax each time, it might have been slightly better). When checking at home, the landing strip is not straight at all and there are lots of stray hairs (but at the time she said she couldn't remove the residual hairs as I was too red and it would be too painful). I really wouldn't recommend this salon for a first time brazilian wax.
