Excellent++. What a relaxing day, just what we needed. Facilities are great, clean and well maintained. Lovely fluffy robe and towels. Paulina, what an AMAZING massage I got from her. My first ever massage, those are some big shoes to fill!! Very pleasant and knowledgeable girl put me at ease and knew exactly what I needed and where my areas of tension where. Cant thank her enough!!
Great place to have a wee relax while we waited for our flight. Sauna and steam room were great, as was the pool. I guess if I was to nit pick, it would've been nice to have a hotter jacuzzi bit, but that's me being very pedantic! Large changing rooms, and the lockers were large enough to store our hold luggage as well. Brilliant!
The massage experience I had there was great, but the Spa itself was a bit of a let down. The spa was cold, the water in the plunge pool was tepid, both tropical showers were not working, and the steam room was cold or not working. Given how much money some people pay to either go to David Lloyd, or Pure Spa, I am surprised at the condition of the Spa room itself. In addition, although the Spa did not allow youngsters under the age of 16, there were 3 kids that were allowed on the day I attended and were running around the place.
Note: I have contacted customer service email and received a response from a manager but communication has been poor and the issue was not resolved after the initial email of them stating they are ‘keen to investigate’. I’ve had a Fresh Start package - which is foot ritual, salt scrub and pure massage. The massage therapist did not perform foot ritual in the first place. The massage therapist was lovely and the treatment was very relaxing. However, I am quite unhappy at the fact that the treatment time was greatly reduced. I arrived 10 mins prior to my appointment at 5pm, and my treatment was supposed to start at 5.10pm. However there was a delay due to the previous client finishing late, and I didn’t enter the room until 5.15pm. After changing clothes and chatting to the therapist about my needs, she took a while to come back to the room. The treatment did not start until about 5.25pm. When I checked the clock immediately after the treatment finishes, it was 6.09pm. Which means a treatment that’s supposed to be 70 minutes has been cut short to about 45 minutes despite myself arriving early. I understand changing time could be counted towards treatment time, but I’ve never been to a massage place that cut my treatment time that short. Although the massage itself was alright, I sadly won’t be returning as it is false advertisement and I’m not getting what I’ve paid for.
Well, a bizarre experience to be sure. The massage was great, but the actual spa facilities are hilariously dire. Grime caked onto broken or missing tiles, stained ceiling panels, a tepid baby pool with no jets and a still-in-construction set of stairs. The setting was something out of a horror film--dark, neon blue light hiding the mildew and falling apart facilities. The sauna is nice though--hard to mess that up. Staff are lovely, but dear god that place needs a reno and a regular scrub.
