First visit in this salon, Everything was ok but the colour choice was a bit poor and the salon doesn't seem the cleanest. The manicure holds well so far though.
I booked this place as it was a real bargain price for a full head of highlights, treatment and blow dry (I think it was £85?).
Slightly off the beaten track. I walked about 1km from Camden station. That's ok, but I did turn up a beat sweaty and needing to sit down. I was seen immediately and I spoke briefly about what I was having done (seemed strange as surely the booking would come up on their system?).
I noticed the salon was quite shabby, but this sort of thing doesn't bother me.
My main complaint was the way the hairdresser brushed my hair. I have fine, bleached, curly hair. It was particularly knotty that day, but nothing a gentle tip-to-root tangle teaser brushing couldn't handle. The hairdresser however proceeded to start brushing my hair with a plastic comb, from the root!!! And she was surprised at how difficult this was. I was horrified as she ripped at my hair. I decided to brush it myself, which I don't think she liked too much, but I'd rather not snap it all off.
I wasn't offered a drink until AFTER my foils were done, which took about 2hours (excessive?!) and I had to request some magazines. All pretty standard salon stuff, no?
My appointment was at 2.30pm, and I didn't leave until 7ish. Not sure why it took so long, but there you go.
I was really pleased with the end result, and the hairdresser listened when I said I only want 1mm taken off the length (most hairdressers go full steam ahead and cut an inch, sigh).
All in all, for the money I was pleased with the end result, but don't expect to feel very 'looked after'. I know this is more of a budget salon, but I feel like the service was a tad slap dash.
