Very nice staff but the my appointment started 30 minutes late and it was incredibly dirty. Unfortunately for the reason of cleanliness I will not be returning to this place. Hair cut was ok

I received a call at 9am from the salon, informing me that the director I had picked to cut my hair had called in sick and after some discussion with a colleague told me to come in at 10:30am the original booked slot. However I felt that when at the salon there wasn't time for me. The salon was very busy, and I was taken downstairs which I was disappointed with as this was my first trip to a salon and with booking a cut with a director I expected to be actually in the 'pretty' part. That aside, when discussing what I wanted doing with my hair and what I had already pre-paid online with the stylist I felt like she didn't incorporate into what she was suggesting. I had booked a full head of highlights finish with a cut and blow dry. I left the salon with my roots touched up and a 'treatment' on my hair which I was advised was worth £50.. now im not a specialist but even if this was worth the amount I was informed.. it was not what I had originally gone to the salon for. I have a semi permanent pink I applied a few months ago. Even though this has mostly washed out, at the bottom and underneath it's still there and I really wanted to get rid of this!! I discussed with the hairdresser (she didn't actually introduce herself and didn't catch her name) and understood the highlights wouldn't cover it fully but I wanted most of the length cutting off anyway.. however after covering my roots and my '£50 treatment' didn't trim my dead ends off blow dried my hair and striaghtened it. She knew I wasn't happy and I expressed it wasn't what I had come in for but kept pushing a return visit to do all the things I wanted this visit! Why couldn't I just receive what I had paid for? It wasn't my fault someone called in sick & if they couldnt accommodate me they should've said at 9am on the phone call. Overall, I can't comment on the haircut/ style part cos it didn't happen. I was satisfied with my root touch up however I don't think it equates to £78 worth. As I had prepaid online at a salon I had never used before maybe this is a learning curve but I felt the need to inform you that my first experience was a shocking one.
The service was excellent, the staff were lovely and friendly and the blow dry was great!
