Great experience at Oolong hair, it was the second time I'd been and Phil completely understood what I wanted and executed it perfectly. He gave great aftercare advice and we had a lot of fun in the process. I had my mousey brown hair bleached to a silvery white colour, a treatment and a blunt bob. Couldn't be happier

My recent experience at this salon has left me feeling very conflicted. On the one hand, it is clean, modern, what would probably be described as "intimate", and the staff are mostly personable. Terrible for remembering names, I can say that the women that washed and dried my hair were lovely, so don't have a bad word to say about the bookends of the service! The man who styled and cut my hair, however, was perhaps a little too assertive of his opinion, and made me feel that I couldn't fully express what it was I expected. I was advised that my request for a low-maintenance fringe was "impossible" (I'd bought a set of straighteners that day, so assured him I didn't expect to wake up with flat hair), and instead offered short layers as a compromise. I wouldn't say that I am unhappy with my cut, but was disappointed by his attitude and quick dismissal of my preferences, and will double my efforts to be more assertive at my next salon visit (perhaps at one where I have more confidence in my hair stylist).
