My haircut was very professionally done and looks amazing and overall I feel I got great value for money.
However, the premises were very dark and depressing.
Also, my conditioning treatment was all of two minutes, which felt inadequate and there was a lack of sympathy/care when I explained that due to a medical condition i have a very painful scalp which needs to be handled gently when washing, combing etc.
Usually I've had great experiences here but I'm really not a fan of how two clients are seen by one hairdresser on some occasions. My appointment took 4 hours - my hair had the highlights left in for over an hour and a half and despite getting the Olplex treatment my hair now feels very straw-like. This is the second time in a year this happened, and despite three emails last year to the management team no one responded to me.
Apparently hairdressers have different ways of mixing highlights so sometimes they need to be left in for longer to reach the desired effect. Surely, if you need to leave highlights in for over 1.5 hours then the mix isn't right? Other hairdressers I've used at Gusto haven't seemed to have that problem.
