I would say this ranks as my fave salon in London, they manage to do exceptional balayages here. Usually come in for a cut and tend to have my colour done every 2-3 months and always look forward to spending the afternoon here, it's quite the event.
They all know me and the service is second to none.

Booked for a root bleach. As a blonde L'Oreal Hair Model of 4 years, I have some knowledge about bleaching and the different processes that go into lightening hair. All I can say in this instance is; you get what you pay for. I thought I was getting a good deal, unfortunately this "good deal" included severe bleach burn to my scalp.
What annoyed me the most was the attitude of "You wanted this and this is what it takes to be blonde". I've been having my hair professionally bleached for 6 years now and by a number of hairdressers at varying levels of experience, none of which have been so rude, unprofessional and arrogant. The reality is, my hairdresser at Gusto did a quick job, not a good job. The skill level was simply not there. Also bleach only stings/burns this badly when it is cheap and when it has been applied incorrectly. It was the most painful hair lightening experience I have ever had. My scalp has welts now. So here is some honest advice for these hairdressers should they wish to improve their craft; Don't put 40 volt of bleach directly on a scalp. Don't put 40 volt of bleach on top of previously bleached hair. Take the time and care to paint small sections with quick small strokes using more product on the tip of the brush and less of a broad sweep over the entire area. Never plaster the hair down to the scalp using bleach, the fact that the hair was touching the other sections meant the result was inconsistent. Use a 30 volt MAX on the scalp if the hair is very dark, use a cap to add warmth for processing or a 10 towards the very end and ONLY as a last resort. It may take longer but at least the integrity of the hair will remain. Never paint the whole scalp (as mine was) and vaseline or an alternate brand-allied protector needs to be applied around the delicate hairline with this level of bleach too (it was not).
For the result I received, I could have literally had a hair bleach bath and at least left without a burnt scalp. No apology for this either.
