My favorite salon in London by a long shot. I've always been incredibly fussy when it comes to my hair, in particular my tints, once my old salon shut down five years ago I've been continuously skipping around from hairdresser to hairdresser trying to find someone who could manage my hair to the standard I expect, from fancy Mayfair boutiques to well know franchises. Thankfully Gusto, in particular one of their Italian stylists, has been able to accommodate me perfectly. Spent just the right amount of time setting my colour and the result was lovely, the blow dry fantastic. So pleased that even their weird taste in music (Duran Duran then hard house?!), will not deter me from going back :)
I was happy with my haircut as usual, however I decided to go for something different (half head highlights) and wasn't fully happy with the results. The hairdresser said the look I was going for couldn't be achieved because my hair was the same colour as the highlights. I explained that I just wanted my hair to have a tone difference with the highlights, I wanted them to be noticeable. The overall result was a nice colour, but no visible highlights. My hair is still all the same colour.
Starting with the good; the location and the price. I had a half head with cut for around £60, which is great value. However, the overall experience reflected the price. This is a very small salon in Soho; don't expect a luxurious, relaxing environment as this is neither. I went on a Saturday morning which might explain why it was so busy. Alongside probably 3/4 regular members of staff, there were new stylists arriving to help out with clients who had literally never worked there before - they were being introduced to the salon and within minutes were attending to clients. Thankfully I didn't have one of those stylists, and wouldn't have been very happy if I had. The place was packed and the clients kept having to move chairs to accommodate new clients. The stylist I had was nice, but although his English was very good, I found it slightly difficult to communicate with him which made me a little nervous. I also felt he was quite hesitant in actually doing the highlights (he was doing them like he was still quite new to it). However, I have to confess I'm fairly pleased with the highlights in general and the blow dry itself was actually fantastic. So a mixed bag really. If you're a little tight on funds, then it may be worth a try. I saw someone having ombre dip-dyed hair done (by a blonde stylist) and it looked fantastic!

Good place, did a good job but very busy so quite a bit of waiting around. Overall colour was good and cut / blow dry fine
Beatrice did an amazing job of my ombré and cut. I cannot recommend her enough! Was very busy in the salon but all staff were very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended!
