I purchased the Wash, Cut, Conditioning Treatment and Blow Dry at Gusto Hairdressing from Treatwell.
Positives:
- The appointment was true to time and was seen for a hair consultation straight away.
- I was offered tea/coffee upon arrival.
- The salon was tidy and clean.
- Mike my hairdresser was very friendly.
- I went during my lunch hour and the wash, cut and blow dry only took 40 minutes so perfect for a quick lunch time cut.
Negatives:
- The wash and condition was rather rough - there was harsh scratching on my scalp with the brush they used to untangle my hair during the conditioning process.
- The conditioning part of the deal is just a quick, standard conditioning treatment that all hairdressers put on after washing your hair.
- I wasn't happy with the cut and felt it was very uneven. Embarrassingly, colleagues at work also commented on my hair and felt that the cut was not a tidy one.
Mike did ask me if i was happy with my haircut but felt too shy and embarrassed to tell him otherwise as he spent time and effort cutting my hair. I'm sure if i had piped up he would've corrected the cut as he genuinely seemed to care so probably my fault for not speaking up!

Really pleased with the haircut and would definitely go back, but they tried to move my appointment which was a bit annoying, and I had to pay extra there for them to blow dry my hair.

I booked an appointment with one hairdresser at Gusto who had previously done a great job cutting and colouring my hair, however, without being notified I was given another hairdresser rather than the one I specifically booked with. This hairdresser made me feel uncomfortable, I asked him to cut off my dead ends and minimal length which he did not do. I paid for a conditioning treatment which I wasn't given. The whole experience was so unsettling, he didn't use techniques you would expect and seemed to be arbitrarily chopping at my hair. DO NOT GET A HAIRCUT AT THIS SALON. My cut is longer one side. I'm really unhappy with my cut and since I was pressured to leave a review I've done so. Will never be returning to this salon!

The staff were friendly and attentive, didn't have to wait at all for my appointment and was promptly offered a drink. Am very pleased with my haircut for the price, especially in central London!

John did my hair, he really listened to what I wanted then told me what he thought, he did such a great job I will definitely be back for my next hair cut. And I was shocked at the great value when I paid.
