Usually, I am really not a fussy girl, I would actually not complain enough and sometimes find myself unhappy without ever leaving a bad review. But right now, I am very upset. I went to Gusto for the first time (on Thursday 23rd June). The salon is very small and you are asked to change seats several times because of the high turnover. Not a problem, it's in London, it's in Soho, it is tiny and that is fine and understandable. My hairdresser was very friendly. He seemed to know what he was doing, especially in terms of colour. I arrived with a medium length bob, slightly asymmetric, and just wanted to have it refreshed, I asked for 5cm shorter. I stressed that I have very wavy hair and that I didn't want much layer as it is a nightmare to style when I want to let my hair dry naturally. During the cut, I could not really see what my hairdresser was doing, He seemed confident and the salon was too dim for me to judge how much he was cutting and where exactly! I left the salon happy but not 100% sure, the colour looked like a success. It was pouring down outside so rushed home. There, I realised straightaway that my cut was wrong!! On the long side of the bob, it looked like very short locks that made no sense. I tried to stay positive but then came the time to wash my hair (today) and style it... Believe me I had many different cuts in my life, and never have I had the impression that my haircut was making so little sense! There's no coherence at all on the "longer" side. The sad thing is that the unfortunate short hairs are so short that I couldn't even try to get a slightly shorter bob to make it more harmonious. Of course, I also tried to let it dry naturally to check if I could at least have the wavy option! It looks like I burnt my hair by accident and tried to make it up myself. I am really sad to have wasted money for that haircut, sad to have to wait so much time for it to regrow and also sad to have to leave such a review.

I found the receptionist very unfriendly! Also I had made a mistake on the booking system and it booked the wrong time. I called to cancel the earlier time and keep the later one but I don't think the message was passed on when I called... The hairdresser was very friendly and very good. Unfortunately, I don't think he heard me when I said I am growing my hair and just wanted to tidy up the back and sides - he gave me the shortest haircut ever! Luckily hair does grow back!
