I was immediately put off when the second sentence the hairdresser said to me was "You booked for a medium length haircut but your hair is actually long, so we are going to have to charge you an extra £4." My hair was only about 2cm past my shoulders and I would never have classed it as long. I was in a bad mood right away - even if I had booked incorrectly, it didn't take the hairdresser any longer to cut my hair and for the sake of £4 it would have been nicer simply to just let me know to book a long hair cut for next time. Instead, you lost a customer who could have given you a lot of repeat business in the future. Further, my hairdresser barely listened to a word I said, telling me what she thought instead of listening to the person who has had the out of control wavy hair their whole life. Sighhhhh. With so much competition in the area, Gusto need to rethink their customer service.
The conditioning treatment was underwhelming but the haircut and blow-dry were very good, I love how it turned out! The salon itself is a little cramped and could be cleaner. Marco was lovely! Would probably come again.
Really fun, friendly atmosphere. Lots of pre-Christmas excitement. Hair colouring was good but streaky and not as blonde as I would have liked. As soon as the hairdresser had cut my hair he told me he wouldn't have done it so short but that it would grow back! I was a bit offended and it didn't make me feel great but thankfully I've had compliments since!
