Just had the fastest Shellac manicure ever! The girl named Evelina was absolutely charming - she is very friendly, cheerful and looks very well-groomed too. That's a very big factor for me when a beautician looks after herself! Clean hair, neat make up and nails might sound commonplace, but lots of people ignore it for some reason..
My manicure is very neat, love the colour and shape. Evelina has done a great job so effortlessly! I also appreciated that when shaping my nails I didn't feel pain a single time unlike in other salons. Also no weird intrusive, personal questions were asked and that's also a big plus. Overall, I am very happy I went there!! :)
As a lot of people talk about rude staff, I think I know who they mean... I'll mention it here in case the salon's management reads this review. There was another girl in the salon today with long black hair and eyes, hispanic appearance, I think she does facials etc. She was a bit rude, didn't smile a single time to clients or colleagues. She was unnecessary patronizing towards Evelina, even in front of clients, and that put me off immediately because Evelina is one of the nicest upbeat and positive people I've ever met! I understood that she's not even her boss to behave like this. I cannot stand girls behaving this way at work, even if you have personal issues, don't take them out on other people. Hope that lovely Evelina has better colleagues very very soon!
The treatment room was warm and relaxing. The facial was very thorough and soothing with a shoulder massage at the half-way point. I filled in a prescription card beforehand for my skin's needs but didn't feel this was referred to in much detail. Facial was definitely of a high quality but I would have liked more information on the products and what they were doing/

My complexion was looking a bit dull with lots of blocked pores. I booked a Dermalogica facial with extraction. I've had extraction done at other places where the therapists used their fingers. It was painful, but tolerable. This was excruciating. The therapist repeatedly scraped a metal tool across my face. My eyes were watering. But no pain and no gain, eh? So I suffered through it for the promise of clear skin.
Following the facial, my skin was swollen for 24 hours. I couldn't go into work the next day. By 48 hours, the swelling had gone down, replaced by blotches, cystic acne and peeling dry skin. Here's hoping there are no permanent scars. Never again.

Positive points are friendly staff and cleanliness of the place. Shellac manicure was great, although pedicure lacked that 'pampering' aspect. Not enough work was done on the hard skin and calluses were not touched at all. The facial was adequate, although nothing special. Therapist was very friendly and caring, but unfortunately, my skin did not react very well to the extractions and rough cloth used throughout.

Amazing! at last, after a run of average to poor facials, I'm really glad to have found this little gem. The therapist had a confident touch and knew how to tackle some tough extractions. The ambiance was really nice too, very relaxing sea sounds nearly sent me off. I've come away with skin that has clear pores and feels as smooth as a baby's ___. This might have to become a monthly treat. 10/10
