Great value and very friendly staff! I would recommend this place. Another bonus about this place is that the beautician did not double dip into the wax. A new stick was used for each hot wax application, which is great as many other places do not do this.

Firstly, it's worth saying that this salon is not in St Johns Wood. Far less glamorous than that. It's just off the incredibly busy edgware road. When I walked in I was disappointed by the general look/tidyness of the salon. There were at least 8 empty soda cans all over the surfaces and various bits of food rubbish. I sat down and waited for my appointment. Every magazine was in poor shape and out of date and the book which had the various bits of coloured hair in was completely falling apart. I am happy I wasn't getting a colour done as the first impression is a bit ropey. I had a nice hair wash but with shampoo that came out of a huge industrial pot, didn't feel particularly special. The wallpaper was peeling off and everything seemed very messy. I then proceeded to have my hair steamed for the conditioning treatment, it took forever as no one seemed to know how to work the steamer. I wasn't apologised too for waiting for them to fix it and then once I got under it they proceeded to fix it behind me. Makes you a bit nervous seeing as it is full of boiling water above your head and face. The cut and blow-dry was absolutely fine, I asked for something very very simple and I am happy I did as the stylist spoke very very little english. If I wanted a restyle there is no way I would come here as I feel like I could not explain to the stylist what I wanted. All the women, although very nice, spoke to each other loudly in their own language, which makes you feel slightly uncomfortable as you worry they could be talking about you. Overall, this salon just needs some work and some tlc.
