The staff were very attentive and helpful. The salon has a young and fun atmosphere but not at the expense of its professionalism. I am not 100% pleased with my haircut but I think that may due to my brief and not the stylist.
I visited Lisa Sheppard London on a Saturday. I had the £20 for a haircut and glass of wine offer. Certainly the £20 for a haircut deal from an apparently prestigious salon drew me, although I am always a bit apprehensive about having a haircut under the influence of alcohol, or rather any salon that offers the opportunity to. I was pleased to find the venue in a nice little street tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street, but close enough to Oxford Circus station. When I arrived, I was shown to a waiting area, where i waited for about five-ten minutes before being offered a drink. No one offered to take my jacket, so when being shown to the hair station, I struggled with bag, coat and water, until i had to ask if they had somewhere to put my coat. It wasn't busy at all, I was surprised to see, but then again as i was told later, their usual clients are office workers, so Saturdays are quite quiet. Still, for a salon that was not so busy, I found the staff quite nonchalent about their only client! Anyway, Jason cut my hair, who was very down to earth and pleasant. Though I found the cut was pretty bog-standard for curly hair like mine, and certainly wasn't what I had hoped for (I had asked for a 'fresh change'). Still, for the £20 offer I think you cannot expect too much and at least my hair was not ruined! A pleasant experience overall, though I was not offered a glass of wine at any point....
lovely ambience, and really trendy interior. Hairdresser was very sweet. Actual haircut was ok, however i did not leave feeling like wow i have an amazing haircut, i think it was the style my fringe was done in that disappointed me.
Having seen Lisa Shepherd on TV several times before my visit, I had high hopes for this salon... and I was not disappointed! Unlike many hair stylists I have been to in Central London, Jamie actually listened to what I wanted and was really on my wavelength. The cut was brilliant - I could not have been happier! And, as a bonus, I absolutely loved the blowdry... it's very rare that I leave a salon without the urge to go rush home and get the straighteners out, but I didn't need to do anything to my finished style! I got loads of compliments, too! Very pleased! :)
Having bought the Lisa Shepherd mob deal a few weeks ago I popped into the hairdressers after work yesterday to have a cut and blow dry. I was shown to a seating area with a big glass topped table, offered a complimentary glass of wine and water and told to help myself to the magazines or browse the internet on their mac, which was a nice touch.
I had a brief consultation and then my hair was washed and a treatment applied, in the comfiest 'hair-washing' chairs I've sat in - complete with leg rests and mechanical massage, so effectively I was lying down. Again a nice touch after a long day at work!
My stylist was great. He did exactly as I asked, chopped some length off, gave me a sweeping fringe and cut out the weight. He offered good advice and finished my 'do' off with some lovely twisted curls, which I hadn't thought to do before. I was in and out, in under an hour which is unheard of normally, with my unruly mop.
The decor was fairly minimalist and colourful, the music was chilled and the staff friendly. Overall it was a really good experience and I'm glad I've discovered Lisa Shepherd, as I'd definitely consider going back.
