Very relaxing experience and certainly more than a 'haircut'. Was offered a drink from a wide selection. Enjoyed the massaging seats whilst having hair washed. Staff were friendly and advisory where required.
After sending an e-mail to the salon via Treatwell to request a booking date, the receptionist called me back within a couple of hours to book a consultation appt which I had the same day. A very efficient service. I was late for both appts due to getting stuck at work but they accommodated me on both occasions. I arrived for my 2nd appt 10 minutes late but was still offered a drink and they put my jacket, brolly & bag away for me. After quickly clarifying my requirements, my highlights were put in by Jason and I was then offered a drink from the relax area where there is a selection of wine, soft drinks and coffee's available, and even a couple of snacks. In the relax area they also have a selection of papers & magazines to read and the internet for client's to use which is really nice. After helping myself to a glass of wine, I chilled for about 1/2 hr whilst my colour did it's thing. It wasn’t busy in the salon but at the end of a busy week, a glass of wine & casual conversation whilst getting my hair done was just what I needed. The salon is very modern without being OTT. All the staff here are lovely and although this is a top end salon, there’s certainly nothing snobby about this place! I haven’t had a new hair style for over 25 yrs so this was going to be a big change for me. I was given a lovely long shampoo and head massage by Louis who was very charming and chatty. The massage chairs are a nice touch too! Jason actually cut my hair and I was surprised at how quickly but professionally he works. You can see this guy just loves his job!! I took a couple of pictures of what I wanted and he gave me some tips on how to blow-dry and style my hair the same way and what products to use. I booked using one of the discount deals through Treatwell and this certainly made it value for money for a cut & colour! Without the discount it is a little more expensive, but you are guaranteed to be a happy customer at the end of your appointment. I bought some gorgeous product for my hair and the lovely receptionist also gave me a product sample to try. You can’t beat free samples! I LOVE my new hair style and in fact I nearly walked into several street lamps whilst walking down the road as I kept looking at myself in the shop window admiring my new style! Huge thanks to Jason & the team at Lisa Shepherd!
This mob deal was definetatly great value. I was so happy with my haricut and I had a lot of compliments from my friends. I am not sure if I would pay the full price but this deal was excellent!
The salon is in a great location, and very modern. The staff are friendly, but i felt that my appointment was rushed, the hairdresser didn't seem to want to be dealing with me (i think because I was on a mobdeal) but also because I was asking her questions about my hair. Overall the salon is nice, well decorated, but the service did little to encourage my return. The cut itself was ok, but nothing spectacular.
I've been a loyal customer at one London salon for three years, but having seen the 50% off deal at Lisa Shepherd London, I decided on a whim to let someone else cut my hair. I wasn't disappointed. On arrival, I was shown to the 'chill out' area and invited to help myself from a very well stocked fridge of juices, cans of pop and chocolate while I waited. To be honest, I'm easily swayed and the salon had won my heart with just the chocolate! But then, there was also a Macbook available to check my email or just browse the internet whilst I waited...and not a dog-earred copy of More! in sight. I suppose any old salon could do these things but any old salon doesn't seem to. On to the highlights and hair cut experience. Sara coloured my hair. She was attentive and chatty, listened to my gripes about my current hair colour (yellow) and came up with a new and lovely shade of blonde which really suits me and looks one hundred times more natural than what I had before. Jason then cut my hair. He was quite quiet (but then I think I prefer that) but gave me some great advice about dealing with my dry hair and an exceptionally good haircut. Special mention must also go to the hair-washing stations - they were so comfortable and the massaging chair so wierdly relaxing, I nearly fell asleep! Anyway, I've already booked my next appointment at Lisa Shepherd. My old salon just doesn't cut it anymore.
