The hairdresser washed my hair before looking at it or discussing style. Once cut was done (very simple, one length all around) she roughly blow-dried it. For some reason, without me noticing, she'd put gel in my hair "to cut it" leaving my very fine blonde hair looking lank and dirty. Honestly it looked like I hadn't washed it in two days. On questioning why this was I discovered the stylist didn't speak enough English to understand. Neither she, not the woman translating thought it was odd to have stringy gelled hair on top and looked at me bemusedly when I asked why they'd done it. Would've asked for it to be washed out but honestly just wanted to get out of there. Washed it at home and after fixing up a few places that were missed, quite pleased with the cut. Won't go back. It was just too stressful being unsure about what I was going to end up with.
