The actual waxing itself was done very well and not painful. However, everything else I just simply do not understand. No signage outside and entering through a café put me off so much that I almost walked out. The reception staff was not friendly at all. The waxing stations near reception are not private and directly upstairs of the café to the point that you can hear people ordering coffee below you. Luckily the more intimate waxing is done in private rooms upstairs. However, just the use of neutral linens and décor would help so much. Coming into a dark wood panelled room and a bed with red towels does not feel comfortable. The chocolate wax may be nice for some, but I found the smell incredibly off putting. When I went to check out, I declined being upsold and was then subsequently ignored by my therapist and reception. I used to be a regular customer at Bliss and miss it terribly. Unfortunately Ministry of Waxing was not for me.
It was very professional until I left my ear phones in the place but they didn't call back to let me know if they found my ear phones. Really sad by the lack of empathy towards clients belongings. My earphones cost me £200 odd quid and to be swiped from under your nose is a kick in the teeth to say the least. Apart from my loss the treatment was good.
