terrible service, really surprised and disappointed. won't be back.
It was ok although took an hour longer than expected
This is the first time I have used Treatwell so went to a salon I wouldn’t usually go to. I have been having shellac for years and never have I had it come off like this. The therapist was late and then took a long time and her attention to detail was poor- I left with nail varnish on my fingers which she had seen but hadn’t taken off. Within a week the shellac had started peeling off. I went back to show the salon what had happened and once they realised it was due to the way the technician had prepped my nails they were brilliant and sorted it. I had a different technician and she was brilliant, but such a shame the initial service had been so poor and she was having to rectify another’s mistake.
I've been here before and not had any problems. This visit, however, was frankly a shambles. I had pre-booked an eyebrow threading appointment at 12.35 immediately followed by a cut at 12.45. The first stylist was 15 minutes late arriving to the salon with no explanation. This didn't cause any issues with the cut, though, as the hair stylist, who evidently had real problems with communication, was running a full hour late. Initially, she told me the wait would be 20 minutes, but this kept growing and growing. It was a boiling hot bank holiday, the salon was a tip - full of previous clients' rubbish and used cups - and it reached the point I just wanted to give up and go home. I asked for my prepaid fee to be refunded, but apparently this wasn't possible. So I had no choice but to keep waiting, squandering a lovely sunny day and getting increasingly upset. Finally, I was seen and the hairstylist - who didn't really seem to understand what I was saying - recommended a slightly different treatment. I took her advice. She then blamed clients like me for turning up and asking for something different than they booked, thereby causing delays! To add insult to injury, after making me wait for OVER AN HOUR she charged me £20 extra for the change of service. I suggested that it would be a nice gesture of goodwill to let this go, but she refused. I was really shocked by the service I received here and will be looking elsewhere in the future - even though this salon is practically on my doorstep. Really awful experience.
