Staff were very thorough with the leg wax.
Let me start by saying I'm not one to leave negative reviews, and this will be my first time ever in doing so, but something needs to be said. My experience yesterday was appalling. I booked for a 1hr SPORTS massage in my lunch break. Let me also say that I'm a group exercise instructor and injured so needed a sports massage, not anything else. I got there 10 minutes early to fill out the usual forms checking for allergies and reasons why you need the massage etc. no one was there to greet me and the hairdresser there just said 'sit down'. I then waited until 1.05 to ask what was happening. Farrah, the lady doing my massage wasn't answering the phone. When she finally did she said she was stuck in traffic. As it was my lunch break, I didn't have time to wait so I politely apologized, said I couldn't wait and asked for a refund - by this time it was 1.20. This is what I got in response: 'This is London, of course there is traffic. Any salon you go to will have you waiting 15 minutes. We will not issue you a refund as there is a 24 hour cancellation policy so you either come for the massage now or lose your money' Obviously I went so I didn't lose out on nearly £50. There was no questionnaire to find out why I wanted my massage (I have a problem with my hamstring, would have been helpful for them to know that!) I could have been allergic to the oils - they wouldn't have known as no health and safety measures were taken (I will be following up on this.) I was rushed into a room that wasn't ready for me and told to undress, as I was doing so, someone walked in without knocking. I then proceeded to have the worst massage (if you can call it that) I have ever had. It DEFINITELY wasn't a sports massage and could barely be called a deep tissue. She was rubbing her hands over my body with no apparent skill. I went home feeling more tense, cross and £50 lighter. If I could give this salon 0 stars, I would. Disgraceful.
Was told abruptly on arrival that I was late, despite having rescheduled over the phone I turned up at exactly the time agreed. Waited half an hour to be seen. Waxing was awkward and messy the lady tried to use as few wax strips as possible, however this caused the wax to clump and stick on my skin and was just gross. I had no confidence in the lady doing it, who seemed new, and took much longer than it should have to do a full leg. I appreciate it's a 'get what you pay for' place, and it's cheap, but to avoid reviews such as this ensure you know what you're doing and ensure you can fit clients in so they're not constantly waiting around. Gave this place enough chances because of value but won't be going back.
Booked a massage for my Wife as she was having back/hip pains after pregnancy. Specifically requested that Farah did the massage, as my Wife enjoyed a previous massage she did. Booked a slot for 4pm, got a phone call to say Farah was unavailable at 4pm & if my Wife could come in at 3pm. I agreed as long as Farah was there. When my Wife arrived, Farah was busy with another client and was seen by someone else. Farah's replacement was very poor (seemed like that she has never given a massage before). Booked a 1 hour session, but the massage lasted only 40 mins. My Wife complained and eventually Farah came in to do the remaining 20 mins (which my Wife enjoyed). Would have given 1 star, if it wasn't for Farah taking over and giving a proper massage. Really disappointing experience for my Wife overall.
Good, straightforward wax.
