I booked an appointment to have my roots coloured and to colour the rest of my hair by applying a toner. I have dark natural haircolour that is coloured to medium brown. My roots have started to grown down so I booked an appointment to have my roots coloured to the same colour as the rest of my hair for Christmas. The colour that was applied to my roots did not match with the rest of my hair leaving me with my dark roots visibly darker. Whatever colour was applied to my roots it did not work on my roots. The stylist tried to hide the dark patches on the top of my head while bliwdrying but the difference in colour was so visible it could be seen from distance. When raised it, he got upset and denied it. After I insisted him to inspect the roots on the top of my head he said the roots are still visible because My roots were darker to start with. THE REASON FOR ME TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT WAS TO HIDE MY DARK ROOTS. I have now ended up with patchy hair that looks the same as before. The stylist suggested we colour my hair 3 shades darker :) to get rid of the dark patches. I was shocked that anyone would even think of advising me to go 3 shades darker when I made it clear my roots needed to match the rest of my haircolour. The stylist clearly did a bad job leaving me with patchy hair. I have no choice now but to go elsewhere and fix what he messed up.
Whilst I really like what I have had done I was really disappointed and upset to be faced with an additional £80 charge - I had already prepaid my balayage when I made the appointment. The additional cost was because my balayage was upgraded and a treatment applied all without my consultation. At no point did anyone tell me there would be additional costs. I did know that I would be charged for the toner at the salon, as I had spotted that mentioned online, but again no one mentioned anything whilst I was having my hair done. I felt too embarrassed to challenge the additional cost because you’re at the till in front of other customers. You should come out of the hairdressers feeling your best but the additional cost and lack of communication about the costs really put a downer on the whole experience
The lady receptionist working on Friday lunch time was extremely rude. She ignored me and served other customers who arrived later with no apology or eye contact. this made my appointment late even though I came on time. My treatment was good but the receptionist failed to honour the Treatwell price and asked that I pay more because ‘ it is treatwell prices, not ours’ in a very rude manner. Customer service is poor here.
