Great experience but disappointed could not book a treatment for Sunday and had to wait until Monday. Also confusing on dinner price as advertised as £25 but then told it was £28.20.
When I arrived I was told it was VERY busy today as hen parties were in. This was no exaggeration. For a start I couldn't even get a locker and had to leave my handbag at reception and carry my kit bag around with me. But for the most duration I couldn't get a bed or a chair to sit on, I couldn’t get in the sauna or steam or jacuzzi and found myself standing in the corridor not really knowing what to do. . I went in the relaxation room to get some peace and there were 8 people in there all gossiping and giggling. I am happy they were having such a great time but it was so loud and unrelaxing for me. And when I came to go I couldn't get into the changing rooms, every bench and mirror and shower was taken, so I gave up waiting and cancelled my dinner plans in order to try the facilities in peace and be able to shower afterwards. I hadn't really been able to get into the facilities before my treatments. But I was advised after my treatments not to go into the sauna and steam room as it would negate the benefits, but I hadn't had a chance before so I really wanted this time. So I feel they were somewhat wasted and just found myself feeling annoyed rather than relaxed. . My treatments were great, but I do wish management would also address the noisy doors in the treatment rooms. Every time someone walks in or out of any room the doors are so noisy it kept breaking my relaxation. Lunch was included but it was in the restaurant, I was told it was ok to go in my dressing gown but seeing as i was the only one in the restaurant in fluffy dressing gown and slippers and everyone else was in a jacket and tie I felt very embarrassed and went and changed. I think a cornered- off area for spa users would make this less of an issue. I thought the layout wasn't great, a little disconnected. certainly not enough beds by the pool. more magazines other than ones promoting things there would have been a bit nicer,. the pool was very cold but more annoyingly the jacuzzi was also very cold. All I would ask is that someone had mentioned to me when I booked, that such a big party was going to be there. Then I would have had chance to book on another day. I came away feeling very disappointed. I spent £100 -which for me is a sizeable sum on relaxation but more importantly took out a whole day from my very tight schedule to, as one hopes at such a venue, relax. This should have been a great treat but I came away feeling very dissatisfied and frustrated. It was more expensive than other spas Ive visited but by no means as relaxing and welcoming.
Wonderful Spa with lots of great facilities. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and the place is not to overcrowded. The treatment rooms are nice and the couches have heated mats on them so very cosy. I had a lovely de stressing massage and the therapist had a nice firm touch . There is complimentary water, teas, robes and slippers. Even though we were there all day, somehow the day flew by but we left feeling extremely relaxed. Definitely worth a visit - and this is coming from someone who is very fussy!
Had a lovely day at the spa, all the rooms were nice and kept. Only suggestion would be to have incense or something burning in the relaxation room so it could make it more relaxed! Other than, that was a really nice day and staff were lovely.
The deep tissue massage was very good and the masseuse knew what she was doing. I had deep knots in my back and she got them out for me.
