Fabulous surroundings, greeted warmly at reception and then shown facilities which were stunning. All very clean and welcoming. We chilled out for a bit and then went for our treatment, bit shocked when a male therapist came to take us for our treatment but then he explained that the mud treatment was a d.i.y. one. Very funny smothering each other in the mud, especially when I lent back and accidently pushed the alarm!! Entered the chamber and sat and enjoyed the perfumed steam very relaxing until the red light came on and we were drenched by the shower, again very funny. Spent the rest of the day chilling in the pool, sauna and steam room. Only criticism was that the relaxation room was quite small so we couldn't get in as busy but then it was a saturday. Overall a fab day for two very tired Mum's we left feeling revitalised and ready to return to our toddlers.
Staff very unhelpful, didn't explain process left us on own to turn on mud shower, so stood around for ages in cold mud!!! Skin felt lovely after and very clear :) Nice spa and sauna etc. Would go again, but would maybe have different treatment, or if mud treatment again, be better if member of staff applied it. Good changing rooms and showers.
The pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and sensory shower were well maintained and very relaxing. I would have been happy with the £20 price tag if that had only included the facilities! However, my friend and I were booked in for a mud serail treatment. We were shown to our own 'preparation area', where we were left with a giant bowl of mud and two lolly sticks! We had to apply our own mud, which I think was actually more fun than if we'd had somebody to do it for us. We then stepped into our own steam room, linked to the prep area, where we let the mud 'do it's thing'. At the end of the session, a light cool shower, like rain, fell from the ceiling of the steam room, and washed off the mud. It was a fun and relaxing experience, and I believe it would work well with a friend, partner, or your mum!
What a wonderful spa, very relaxing , just wish I could have stayed longer. shame about the jacuzzi not being operative , hopefully they will get it sorted very soon/ pool a good length. The Serali mud treatment felt wonderful for a few days afterwards.
Treated my friend to a Spa day at the Marriott hotel , The facilities are nice and clean. The Jacuzzi wasbroken and not working on that day. I would strongly recommend to go on a week day as Saturday was extremely busy and the relaxation room was packed at time. The staff was busy and nowhere to be seen . I tough the treatment was slightly misleading, We were expecting a mud bad , being apply mud on and wrapped but instead we had to apply the mud on ourselves and sit in a steam room for 20 mns until showers came on unexpected. Overall left feeling relax but if I have to come back will be during the week .
