I received a call a few hours before my appointment asking me to re-schedule as they were understaffed due to illness on the day. As I had an event to go to that evening, I couldn't re-schedule. I arrived at my appointment and they were very apologetic about the 45 minute wait I sat through, but I understood that it wasn't their fault.
The conditioning treatment was great - my hair felt really soft afterwards.
The haircut was very fast and I thought it looked nice.
The only thing that lets this place down is the lack of transparency. On treatwell it said 'wash, haircut, blow-dry and conditioning treatment for long hair' - I paid extra on treatwell for long hair but then when I arrived at lily's salon, they said I had to pay extra for blow drying my hair curly rather than straight! Firstly, I have never been to a salon that has charged extra for a different style of blow dry. Secondly, they said it would be £10 extra, but they would give it to me for £5 this time due to me waiting long for my appointment.
Although the blow-dry was of a great standard, it did leave me feeling a little upset as I paid more than what was in my budget. There was no indication of this on the treatwell website. I went on Lily's website when I got home to check and it seems even on their own website, there is no indication that you pay extra for longer hair or for a curly blow-dry! I really suggest you are completely transparent with your pricing because you are a great hairdresser and it would be a shame to upset customers by asking for more money than they thought they would be paying.
