This is an edit of my original review. Unfortunately, due to system restrictions I have been unable to also amend my star rating. I originally rated the salon 4 stars in a review that read ‘good experience as always’. I chose not to rate the salon 5 stars because I believe max stars should be reserved for an exceptional and special experience. This was just getting my nails done... There was food in the sink when I washed my hands...
I’ve been going to the salon for four years under various owners, it is a good salon but nothing out of this world. Although 4 stars is a very positive rating, the salon owner was not happy with it. He both commented on my review to say I have ‘negative energy’ and used my personal details to text me multiple times asking why I had left only 4 stars. After I replied saying I was happy with the service but didn’t feel every category was worth 5 stars, he told me he doesn’t accept reviews less that 5 stars and to find somewhere else to get my nails done in future.
I’ve found the whole experience very upsetting! My personal details were abused for reasons outside of Treatwell’s policy. I’ve also spent a lot of money in the salon over the years, and always make the effort to be friendly and chat to the staff about themselves; so to be so ungraciously told not to return for such a ridiculous reason is bizarre to me. Unacceptable customer service and hopefully won’t happen to anyone else but if it does - tell Treatwell! They’ve handled my complaint very sensitively.
Still perfect as always. Gave 4 star for the nail infill only because they were dull afterwards, I think perhaps the lady didn’t cure the gel long enough but I still like my nails and love my pedicure.
The young lady who did my manicure for me was brilliant, I’ve had some awful experiences from salons in green lanes but my nails were exactly as I wanted. Considering I had shellac, two of the nails have slight marks from the moment I left the salon but either way the manicure was better than most!
