This was without doubt the most relaxing afternoon I've had in a long time. I had a massage with Hannah, she ironed every bit of stress, tension and worry out of my back (no easy feat, many other masseuses have failed), and by the time she had finished I had practically melted into the table. Regret booking in advance another masseuse on a monthly basis, have now cancelled that and will be calling Hannah soon to book my monthly retreat!
Followed massage with a fantastic mini manicure with Jade, which I can confirm did last longer than 2 days! The highlight was not so much the manicure (although it was excellent), but the easy atmosphere and spent a pleasant and friendly hour ensconced in this cosy spa chatting to Jade and her client while my nails dried. It's so nice to find a spa that is clean and professional, but without that rather snobby exclusivity you so often come across, which never fails to make me uncomfortable. I can also vouch for the other client's gel nails, which were a work of art and very natural looking (save the fabulous pink polish!).
I very much look forward to booking my next appointment and making this a monthly treat.
Oh, and to finish off, the prices are very reasonable!
Lovely little place with great staff! It's in a basement under a hairdresser, but of several places I've been to in London with this format, it's by far the nicest. A small space without feeling at all cramped, well decorated and with a relaxing atmosphere. My massage by Hannah was one of the best I've had - not using a single technique, she instead asked what I wanted to get out of the massage (removing tension) and then worked using a variety of approaches to release knots etc that she found. Really good and I expect to go back.
The basic manicure was absolutely fine, but with the state my cuticles are in I need a fuller treatment to really sort my nails out! (My issue not theirs).
Lovely little salon run by two exceptionally friendly and professional beauticians. The facial was excellent - none of that hands-off time you often get with a facial where the beautician leaves you alone wearing a face mask where they go off and gossip with their colleagues. Here, once the mask was on, the back, neck and shoulders massage commenced and was great. My skin was glowing afterwards and I felt properly pampered. The mini-manicure was also great - I often find manicures quite painful around my nails, but this one was pain-free. Best of all, my super-shiny nails - someone asked if I'd had a Shellac manicure - lasted for six days.
Highly recommended to all.
The staff are really friendly and professional, the treatments are done well and are very good value for money. There was a good ambience to create the perfect relaxing atmosphere and I will definietly go back and recommend this to anyone.
