A fabulous experience. The staff made us feel at home from the moment we arrived and were attentive throughout the day. The treatments we booked were amazing - the best facial I have ever had! Will definitely return and would highly recommend it to friends and family.
Once you've purchased the spa day for the date, you need to ring the venue, as they weren't expecting us on the day I had booked for online. Also it was my sister's 60th on the day and were asked if we wanted to go back on another day after travelling there which took us an hour and half to reach from home, no way.... The staff at the reception was uninterested, didn't show us around and unhelpful. We were given towels on arrival. We asked if we could book couple of treatment for a treats for my sister and was told that they were fully booked. Looked like there was no one to do the treatments as the place didn't look busy to me.... No rob or slipper provided, you have to pay. Mineral grotto, was ok as couldn't feel any benefit, heated bed seemed like they weren't on, not even at room temperature, Just had few relaxing loungers. The place is very small. Relaxing room upstairs was small as when four of us, there was no room for us to sit there... Hydrotherapy pool was luke warm, should be hot....., aroma steam room had no aroma, just steam. Sauna was good. Overall ok day, nothing special... As I have been to other spa days which have ben far better than Hilton Spa day. Maybe coz we got discounted tickets we weren't given special welcome.....
Best steam room I've found! Staff not really interested unfortunately which is a shame as previous experiences here have been fantastic
Very pleasant day and great value for money. Is quite small, which in he morning was fine as there were only a few others there but in the afternoon it got busier. This didn't mean you couldn't enjoy the facilities, but people has put towels on loungers when not using them which was annoying as there was no where let to sit. Probably a bit of an issue for the pregnant lady who was in there with us! The pool is really lovely, and the steam room gets super steamy! The only disappointment was the "heated beds" which were not actually heated. Staff said they were heated to "room temperature" which seems pointless (how is that different yo a bog standard lounger?!) and probably a bit of a fob off. Also, the facilities said there is a "relaxation room" which we couldn't find.
The spa overall was very well done. When we got there we was informed there was no robes, some customers had been notified previous to arriving. This was not too much of a problem. The changing room was relatively small but it was quite quiet in the morning. The facilities were good and it was very relaxing, however we were not shown around, which made us feel a bit lost. This seemed to be the case with everyone who arrived. The lady who did the manicure was very lovely, and it was very well done. The only bad side was they could've had a bigger variety of colours. Me and my mother had a lovely day and would recommend getting there early to avoid masses of people
