I arrived 30 minutes early for my appointment and was ignored until I had been waiting 20 minutes, my being early was my own fault but not even being acknowledged was quite awkward as the salon is so small and I was only a couple of feet away from the stylists and customers having their hair cut, who could of course see me in the mirrors.... The stylist who cut my hair did not speak to me at all. When I sat down to discuss what I wanted him to do with my hair he just stared at me, I explained that my fringe was usually straight across but because it had grown too long I'd pulled it to one side, I did not want a side fringe and I made this very clear. He asked me to go to the sink by saying 'please wash' and then back to the chair by saying 'now sit'. He clearly wanted to be elsewhere. The overall haircut wasn't too bad, but he dried my hair BEFORE cutting my fringe. I stopped him when he picked up the hairdryer and he said 'I know I know I know'. He then free hand, dry-cut my fringe, and it's awful. Apart from thinking he might poke me in the eye with scissors or take a chunk out of one of my eyebrows, my fringe is not even because he split the fringe and dried it with the parting with the rest of my hair. One side has been left longer at the side as I requested, the other side has been cut bluntly straight across, and the whole fringe has been thinned out by aggressive texturing with obvious chunks missing. I'm really upset with it but I couldn't get a good feel for how it would actually look until the next day when I'd washed and blow dried it myself because the parting skewed my view of the sides being so uneven. £24 was great value if the haircut had been to my liking but unfortunately I'm going to have to pin my fringe back for a few weeks and go somewhere else to get it evened out. I would recommend Treatwell to a friend as I've used it before and had a great experience, but I will not be returning to this salon.
Mixed experience here. I booked it as it had great Treatwell rating. Tbh I’m not at all convinced that the hairdresser spoke much English as he only uttered about 10 words throughout the whole appointment, and the haircut reflects only the requests given with hand gestures (length off, shaping round the face). The requests I asked for clearly at the start - shorter layers, big and wavy styling - were completely ignored (now have long, barely existent layers and he dried it completely straight which I hate). I also have a bit of a concern about how hot the dryer was and the amount of steam coming off my hair when he did it :/ Overall, not a bad cut, but also not what I asked for. I’ll be trying somewhere else next time.
