Lovely staff, would of preferred private changing facilities but was ok. Lovely massage room and heated bed. Afternoon tea was lovely.
It is a nice place to stay and the location is great if you want to jump into the car and go shopping as it's just 5 minutes away. The staff were friendly and accomodating and the room was clean and to a fairly good standard.
very good value for money only downfall was the changing rooms didn't have cubicles and the floor everywhere was soaking wet so trying not to get your clothes wet was an issue .staff where very obliging and helpful food was good and treatment was good girls were very friendly and willing to help would recommend to anyone
I booked this as a treat for my mum, sister and I. Upon arrival everything seemed fine, was given a robe (which was ripped and see through), a towel and slippers. I then went for my treatments - a back massage and a file and polish. The therapist was lovely and the treatments were good. I then went into the 'spa' area to wait whilst my mum had her treatments. This is where is all went downhill. The changing rooms were dirty and floor soaking wet, the steam room was absolutely filthy with stained seats, clumps of hair on the floor and wasn't a proper steam room as when you are in a steam room, you aren't meant to see anything. The sauna was so-so. The jacuzzi was another story - it obviously hadn't been cleaned in a very long time as there was scum floating on top and when it was switched on, it would turn into a foam which is actually other people's dirt etc - disgusting! We were then booked in for afternoon tea at 2.30, so we went into Basingstoke for the spare 2 hours we had rather than hang around there. At first, the one member of staff running the whole bar area wasn't very friendly - which was understandable as she was on her own with a private party going on at the same time. However another member of staff joined her and she started to smile. The afternoon tea was good, not a big selection of sandwiches, but the desserts were lovely.
Excellent day. Lovely helpful staff and both myself and my daughter enjoyed the spa and facilities. Lovely massage by nice friendly girls.
Afternoon tea was gorgeous. Would highly recommend.
