I did a lot of research on spa breaks before booking this one, and I think we made a good choice. It was easy to get to on the train from London, and the hotel was clean and comfortable. Make sure you call the hotel before you book the deal to check they have availability for the treatment you want on the day you want! We called ahead and managed to get their last available treatment appointments at 11:30am on the day we planned to stay, meaning we had the rest of the day to indulge there. The massages were very good, and we made lots of use of the spa facilities - these were small, but good. We paid extra for the afternoon tea, which we had in our robes in the restuarant/bar, and that was lovely. The room was nice, and the staff were helpful - they brought an ice bucket up to the room to chill a bottle of prosecco we had brought with us, and they booked a taxi for us to take us back to the station in the morning. The three course dinner was good, and there was a nice variety to choose from. Breakfast was your usual buffet, and was fine. We enjoyed our stay!
The experience was lovely. Great value for money. The treatments were well needed and made both myself and my friend feel very relaxed. The food was lovely and the choice in options gave a good range. Lovely relaxing day.
The spa was clean and had a good atmosphere, it also has some great facilities. The staff were ok they explain some things but not everything, we didn't get wine or lunch as we were not told about them and we felt rude to ask. We were greeted quite rudely by our therapists who demanded to see our reservation when we had been in the spa for two hours which annoyed me, but the treatments where ok so I didn't put in a complaint. Overall it's an ok spa not great but not bad, wouldn't go again but if you want an ok spa then pick this one.
I had a lovely day here, very relaxing. It wasn't very busy so I practically had the whole place to myself! There was loads of food included as part of the rest and relaxation spa day. I got a voucher for over £10 worth of food and a drinks voucher. The full body massage I had was so good, really relaxing, I practically fell asleep! I had a nice pedicure afterwards and you're told not to do anything for 30 minutes. I left mine for over an hour and they still got smudged when I put my shoes on. I'd recommend bringing flip flops to wear home
Just small and now where to relax after you have swam or used sauna or stem room. But it was good all in all
