About

My name is Emma, i am the owner and stylist for Home of Hair, I am home based in my spare room currently but very soon to be in a newly built garden salon. So if you like the salon feel but like it to be private and cosy then, i welcome you to my home salon room, just outside stanway. Ive been a hairdresser since leaving school, its something ive always had my heart set on, even after people talking me out of it, i worked at Toni and Guy and completed a two year apprenticeship, were i worked with clients and trained at the same time, and completed the end of the training programme in london, i was based in the colchester salon but worked in several different areas, and then worked up to become staff trainer, NVQ assessor and tutor, in which i travelled all around essex and suffolk helping apprentices acheive, just like me. After working for a salon for 13 year working my way up the levels, i decided in 2020 to take the leap into becomming self employed and started Home of Hair, to have a better home life balance and presue more courses of what i had a passion for, since then ive never looked back ive worked at a few salons renting chairs but now have decided being on my own is better and more economical for myself and customers. I specialise in colouring hair and think that it compliments a haircut depending on the desired look, but equally i like to be versitile and have many talents in all aspects of hairdressing, one of my newest qualifications is hair extensions, in which i do nano rings, microweaves, tapes and micro rings techniques, i feel like these can also complement your hair and give so many people more confidence. I enjoy being part of weddings and have had the chance to work on many wedding venues over the years, and certainly something i love doing everything i can to make sure everyone is happy on the day.
