I have been coming to Helena McRae for just over 3 years, as it is by far in my opinion the best salon I have ever used. I travel from Herne Bay in Kent to Croydon which speaks volumes. The operate at a very high standard and I believe I am getting value for money with the additional benefit of highly skilled staff. I was a little shocked to see a negative comment about the salon as in the whole time I have been utilising their services they are always polite, genuinely helpful and good at what they do. I have never smelt any peanuts and they would not put untested products in your hair as they provide a professional service or I wouldn't be travelling for 3 hour round trip to get my hair done.
Care was taken in applying the product. My scalp was well based and the stylist checked with me about the intensity on my hair.

I went there before my prom and i'd say the experience was okay but like the other customers there were times when they didn't have good customer services. At times felt like the atmosphere was icey and tensed. some treatments ware a bit pricey but you leave with a good result.
I visited this salon a couple of weeks ago for a beauty treatment- specifically a body wrap and back massage as part of a groupon deal.
It was one of the best massages I've had in a long time, and in a pleasant environment.
The staff were great as well, friendly and professional.
All in all an enjoyable experience and I'd happily go back there again.
My group consisted of 2 friends and myself and we each had a two hour facial and massage treatment. Our therapist was wonderful very professional and extremely courteous. Whilst we were there (total of 6 hours) we saw various hairtreatments being undertaken and completed and we were all highly impressed with the end results, as were it appears the clients having their hair done. The majority of the staff /stylists were very friendly and all our enquries relating to services on offer were answered accordingly.
I myself intend to visit the hair salon for a treatment and if all goes well may switch to Helena McRae as my permanant salon.
