I was very excited about visiting this salon having read some good reviews about it. Upon arrival, I was quickly greeted and was given a form to fill out which I found was strange for a haircut. I was then seated in a chair and had a sheet placed over my clothes. The lady then said she had to go tend to someone else, so I was left in the chair waiting for nearly half an hour. I was contemplating walking out, however, because I had come so far to try out the salon, I decided to stay. The lady finally came back and led me over to have my hair washed. The head massage was a bit too scratchy with nails and took far too long. I just wanted to get my haircut started. When I was finally seated back in the chair, I had to wait another 15mins whilst she went to see someone else. I then described to the lady how I wanted to have my hair done. It was nothing new, just how I normally get it cut. She became very rude and said "no no no, you'll look like a jellyfish". I was very shocked at this and continued to describe how I wanted it. She was very dismissive, yet did not offer any suggestions of her own. I felt like it was turning into an argument. She finally agreed to cut it how I wanted it, and very quiet. No conversation at all. It was like she was silently fuming. When I came to pay, they were disappointed to find that I had done it through Treatwell which meant that I had a discount for a new customer. They still charged me £5 more than what it should have cost. Having no energy left in me, I decided to pay it and promptly left. I would never return to this salon. Although it was nice decorated and looked clean, the staff were rude, I had to wait a long time to get started and for a haircut it was very overpriced and not worth it. I would recommend others to steer clear of here. If I could rate 0 stars I would.

I had full highlights at Hayato by Silviya and it looks great! Compared to my last few highlight experiences in London, watching her placing the foils, I knew she was doing a much more thorough job. The paper (instead of aluminium) foils were much easier on my hair, too. The other clients (getting cuts and a perm) all walked out looking great and confident. The membership card I received on the way out, with discount offers, confirmed I'd be coming back. My hair looks perfect and I think I've found my go-to salon!
